A common question we get is how Zendio email tracking differs from an email read receipt in Microsoft Outlook. Zendio Email Tracking Vs. Microsoft Outlook Email Read Receipts

You may be asking yourself what so many individuals have already asked us about our email tracking feature. Why use Zendio for email tracking in Microsoft Outlook? Doesn't Outlook offer an option for read receipts? Wouldn't it be more convenient to use the option created by Outlook for Outlook?
The answer is no, not necessarily. When we created Zendio, we sought to fill a need expressed by a staggering amount of professionals- What happens once an email is sent and what is my next move? During our initial research, it was discovered that a definitive solution to email tracking was missing.
You see, Microsoft Outlook offers read receipts to the email sender, but not automatically. A user must specify that tracking is desired and a request must be sent to the email recipient. After that, the recipient must agree to the read receipt. As a result, there are a variety of variables that may pose an obstacle to the sender knowing whether an email was read.
If the email recipient decides to click "no"- don't send a receipt- the tracking feature in Microsoft Outlook is rendered useless. Of course, even if the user decides to allow a read receipt, the notice was still ultimately controlled by the email recipient. The option for a read receipt does nothing to alleviate the sense of not knowing on the sender's behalf. Moreover, the notification occurs only once. Zendio offers a different solution that, instead, benefits the person sending the email.
Once a user registers for Zendio, the plug-in automatically installs into Microsoft Outlook instantly enabling email tracking and analytics. Zendio does not require the recipient to opt-in to read receipts. The plug-in simply begins tracking an email by sending notifications to the sender when an email is read. Zendio also tells the user how many times an email was read and whether it was forwarded to another person and where.
Zendio tracks the email through its lifespan rather than a one-time notification and also provides analytics for a detailed look into how a person reads an email. Zendio allows for targeted follow-up and alleviates the mental burden of wondering when an email was received and read. Zendio operates independently of the email recipient which provides Zendio users with a better sense of knowing and superior communication. Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too.
