2/5/2013 5:00:00 AM

A common question we get is how Zendio email tracking differs from an email read receipt in Microsoft Outlook. We first addressed this question about a year ago in this blog post, but thought it might be time for a refresher. As we will explain, Zendio offers a far more robust and reliable service when it comes to tracking emails.

Q: Does Zendio work with mail clients other than Outlook?
A: Zendio is an add-in for MS Outlook. However, if you use an email system that allows you POP access Like Gmail you can easily use MS Outlook to connect to that mail account. Once that email account is set-up with MS Outlook you can use Zendio to track those emails also. For more information on how to set up POP accounts in MS Outlook please see this link.

Q: I can't install Zendio. What's wrong?
A: The three most common cases for installation failure are:

  1. Unsupported configuration.
Make sure that you are running a supported hardware and software configuration. Zendio requires the following system requirements:
    • Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 (32 or 64bit)
    • Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007, (2010 32bit only)
  2. .NET Framework is not installed
Zendio needs .NET to run. If this software is not installed, Zendio will attempt to connect to the internet and automatically install this program. Your computer must be connected to the internet in order for .NET to install.
  3. No Internet Connection
You must be connected to the Internet in order to install and use Zendio.
